What we do

At a national level

Our role as the national entity is to support and serve the regions and represent Māori Wardens at the national level. We form partnerships and other arrangements at the national level, for example, with the New Zealand Police and government agencies.

Our role is to ensure the sustainability of Māori Wardens so they can continue supporting communities.

Māori Wardens in the Regions

Warranted Māori Wardens have special enforcement powers but are not police officers. The regional entities for Māori Wardens manage and coordinate operational activities for each region.
