Māori Wardens at Rātana Pā

Every year our Māori Warden regions come together at Rātana to tautoko the Kātipa during the annual celebration of the birthday of Rātana Pā’s founder, Tahupōtiki Wiremu Rātana.

Coordinated by the Central VIP region, Māori Warden teams meet at the site and prep for their busy week ahead.

We tautoko Rātana celebrations by keeping people safe as the crowds enjoy the Church service and Rātana bands. We might have a quiet kanikani too.

We love the crowds at Rātana, their smiles and mihi aroha.
