Māori Wardens of New Zealand

Aroha ki te Tangata

Who are Māori Wardens?

Māori Wardens are dedicated to supporting whānau and communities throughout Aotearoa, and providing compassionate assistance and advice. Māori Wardens also support communities by playing a peacekeeping role, by working with others (including NZ Police and event organisers) to help community members feel safe.

Hospital support
In some areas, wardens provide support to hospital patients needing transport or other essential support.

Courts
Wardens support those in need who are facing difficult processes, like court or other processes.
